Baby of Anitha, born in a remote village in Nalgonda district, Telangana, came into the world with a congenital heart defect. His father, a daily wage laborer, and mother – a home maker, were devastated when doctors informed them of the urgent need for cardiac intervention. However, due to their severe financial constraints, they couldn’t afford the treatment the baby required.
At one month old, Baby of Anitha’s condition worsened, and his parents rushed him to Rainbow Children’s Heart Institute (RCHI) in Hyderabad with only Rs. 10,000 in their hand. The baby’s critical condition necessitated immediate surgery, and with the family’s inability to pay, they faced an uncertain future.
In this moment of crisis, the Pure Little Hearts Foundation (PLHF) stepped in, offering a lifeline to the struggling family with the support kind donors and likeminded organizations. The hospital, understanding the family’s financial hardship, generously waived off the remaining medical bills.
Within a week after surgery, baby of Anita made a full recovery, much to the joy and relief of his parents. The child’s life was transformed by the kindness of donors, offering him not just a future, but a healthy one.
