With over 200,000 children born with CHD in India each year, timely and specialized care is critical. The foundation bridges the gap between vulnerable children and the quality cardiac care they need. Its mission is to ensure that every child, regardless of financial background, has the chance to live a healthy and happy life.

Meet Our Trustees
Dr. Shweta Nathani Bakhru
Secretary
Dr. Shweta Nathani Bakhru is a qualified Pediatric Cardiologist with extensive experience in both congenital and acquired heart diseases. She is currently practicing as a Senior Consultant in the Department of Cardiology.
Driven by a deep passion for pediatric cardiac care, she brings with her a strong interest in fetal cardiology, inherited heart disorders, systemic hypertension in children, and cardiovascular physiology and embryology.
Mr. Chakradhar S.
Trustee
Mr. Chakradhar holds a B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering from Osmania University and a Master's degree in Bioengineering from Texas A&M University, USA.
He worked for 10 years in healthcare and enterprise software development companies in the USA before taking a sabbatical to focus on improving children's healthcare and congenital heart disease outcomes.
He is currently the CEO of ProvenTech Consulting Pvt. Ltd., a Hyderabad-based boutique IT company delivering specialized solutions for major pharmaceutical and agricultural (seeds and crop protection) companies.
Dr. K. Ganapathy Subramaniam
Treasurer
Dr. K. Ganapathy Subramaniam is Cardiothoracic surgeon with over two decades of experience in Pediatric Cardiothoracic surgery. He completed his MBBS, MS and MCh at AIIMS , New Delhi. After finishing basic cardiac surgical training at AIIMS he specialised in Pediatric Cardiothoracic surgery and Transplantation.
He has lead Pediatric cardiac surgical missions and has helped build Cardiac Transplant and Pediatric Cardiac Programs in different units across the country . He strongly believes in the mission of PLHF that every child with congenital heart disease should get appropriate treatment at correct time.
